Hey guys! I go by Maroselis in-game, and I'm sure I have already met some of you over the past two weeks. I am so excited to be a new addition to the WonderHowTo community, and I cannot wait to spend more time getting to know each and every one of you! I have so many wonderful new things planned for the server, but we're going to get to the good stuff first... weekly contests!
We have some new and exciting contests we're going to be starting up on the WonderHowTo Minecraft server (IP: mc.wonderhowto.com). To encourage our users to be as creative as possible, we are going to be doing Weekly Challenges and Staff Choice Awards. Every Monday the Weekly Challenge will be posted to the Blog, and every Friday, staff will compile a list of the best builds on the server for the week.
Weekly Challenge: Week 1
Though Weekly Challenges are not required, they were created in order to help our builders on the server get out of that artistic block they may be facing. We want the Weekly Challenges to inspire you to help you create something magnificent! What we want from you, as a creator, is for you to post your tips and tricks as well as your build! You can do so by clicking HERE and posting pictures or videos of your build.
The idea behind the Weekly Challenges is to share your quick tips and tricks related to the topic at hand with the community. Every week is something different, so be sure to check the Blog every Monday!
Without further ado, this week's Weekly Challenge is... Pixel Art!
We've been seeing a lot of pixel art on the server lately, and the staff at WonderHowTo are completely blown away by some of the creations. Don't hesitate to make a post on the community corkboard showing off your creation(s), or simply explaining your preferred methods when creating pixel art.
Keep in mind that pixel art does not have to be a pixelated character from a TV show, movie or video game. Pixel art can be anything 2D created on the WonderHowTo Minecraft server.
Rules
- Submissions should be mostly 2D. You can add some 3D effects to your entry if you want (like in the image posted above), but it is not necessary!
- In order for your entry to count, it MUST be something you created on the WonderHowTo server.
- Do not claim a build as your own if you did not create it – we will know!
- If you worked with someone on a project, please mention their name as well and what they contributed.
- Post your tutorial, creation and/or tips to the community corkboard in order to be considered for that week's contest.
- You cannot submit the same creation more than once to the corkboard.
- For Weekly Challenges, you cannot use a previous entry you have already submitted in the past.
- You CAN enter BOTH the Weekly Challenge and the Weekly Staff Choice Awards in the same week.
- Winners will be announced next Monday at 3pm EST!
Prizes

- Honorable Mentions - Contributor rank in game!
*Contributor rank in game allows you to change your gamemode (survival/creative), put yourself in godmode (/god), set 20 homes, claim 50 (16x16) plots and wear hats with /hat!
*MushroomJump - When you go on a giant mushroom, it launcher you up in the air. What is it for? For fun, of course! You can make awesome jump maps, or simply just spend the day jumping on mushrooms!
