So, here we are with the second part to whats going to happen to Minecraft in 1.7 (you can see the first part here). Let's start off with the new biomes.
Minecraft 1.7: What's New (Terrain, Flowers & Ground Cover)
Why I split it into two articles: I love images and I'm sure lots of us do. I decided to put in a lot of images as examples rather than have paragraph upon paragraph of boring text. Also, I don't think any of us like overly long articles; but if you think it's better to have it all in one article, let me know
Minecraft: Metropolitan City
I've often marvelled at the complex worlds people come up with on Minecraft. I particularly enjoy looking at maps with skyscrapers and modern structures in modern cities. If you're one of those people too, check out this sneak peek for a tour of a world-class city containing replicas of buildings including the Trump Tower, BMO and one of my favourites: The Bellagio Hotel! The world has been made on the XBOX 360 by a very creative user with the gamertag: TH3 3ND 0F TiM3.
My Minecraft-Controlled Light: Turning On/Off a Real Lamp Using a Redstone Switch and Arduino
I've had this idea in my head for almost a year now. I knew what I wanted to do, but wasn't sure if it would work. After a long time of armchair-engineering, I decided that the best way to test my idea was with a soldering iron and a screwdriver.
News: Just a Quick Picture
Hello World! Just a quick idea,
Minecraft: Pi Edition, Coming Soon to a Raspberry Pi Near You
Yes, that's right. Apparently, you don't have to play Minecraft on your computer or mobile device anymore. Mojang recently created a port of the Minecraft: Pocket Edition that they're calling Minecraft: Pi Edition.

News: Construction on the Star Destroyer
Hey guys, corndog97 here! As most of you know I have been working on an extensive mega build with my friends Knight Skelly, Killer Oliver, and HUD (howcanudothis). I have to say, my mates have done such a good job, and picked up the pattern within an hour. Here's what it looks like so far: As you can see on the lower part of the screen Skelly threw in a cool little mini model of an average Star Destroyer. The ship model we are currently building is a Super-Class, such as Darth Sidious' or Pal...

Minecraft Survival Lesson: Join Us This Saturday for Some Innovative Tripwire Trap Building
Out of all of the new features in Minecraft 1.3, tripwires are undoubtedly the most fun to play with. They provide an entirely new functionality that's still being innovated and discovered.
News: Bend and Shape Trees However You Want in This Saturday's Minecraft Workshop on Tree Molding
Trees can be annoying in Minecraft, because they're organic and grow in unpredictable ways. But there are a few techniques for controlling how trees grow so that you can have a forest that looks exactly like you want it to! Come join us at our workshop this Saturday and we'll show you how to make trees grow how you'd like them to! Then you can compete to see who can make the coolest tree! News: Almost Instant Wire Using Trip Wire. Infinitely Expandable and Efficient.

News: Befriend a New "BUD" in This Saturday's Minecraft Workshop
BUD switches (short for Block Update Detector) can be triggered without levers, buttons, tripwires, or any other traditional switches. Instead, they're triggered by changes in block status. That is, placing a block, destroying a block, hoeing grass, clearing snow, etc.

News: Welcome to Yownas Redstone Playground
For a while I've been playing around, buliding a redstone playground. I've tried to gather and build some things, from a simple AND-gate to more complex things. It is not supposed to be a place where I try to be a show-off, but rather a place where people can come and get inspired or just walk around and push buttons for fun. The designs aren't supposed to be "the" solution to any redstone-problem but rather somnething that is easy to build or atleast get some kind of understanding how to sol...
News: Obsidian Defenders (1.3.1 PvP Map)
The main objective is to defend your Obsidian temple while attempting to destroy the opponents. To do so a pickaxe will spawn 3m after you begin and every 3 minutes after that in the temple in the centre jungle.
News: We're Making a Cake-Powered Autowalk in This Saturday's Minecraft Workshop
Okay, it's not actually cake-powered, but it does use cake! Owing to the fact that cake and trapdoors are less than half a block tall, we can use fenceposts (which are a block and a half tall) attached to pistons to push people along, because the tops of the fenceposts will invisibly pop up through cake and trapdoors.
Sky Metropolis: Mgabrys's Zeppelin City Takes Home This Week's Staff Choice Award
Our server is primarily a fun server, so we don't often get huge, epic builds of amazingness. And yet that's exactly what we've got with Mgabrys's build, the Portland. Or, more specifically, Zeppelin City OR-2019 "Portland".
News: Final Update for Capture the Flag Prior to Release! It's Almost Done!!

Changing Spawn Points: The Minecraft Death Elevator
First of all, this was not invented by me. I state this clearly and the link for the original discussion is located below. I made this video, as the original author did not do so, in an attempt to raise awareness as to the awesome concept that it is.
News: Awesome Minecraft-Inspired Animal Art
A friend of mine sent me a link to the work of Laura Bifano, and I was totally blown away. She has a whole gallery of Minecraft-inspired art of various animals, and it's just the coolest thing in the world! Check out this one, small example: I don't want to repost all of them here, because you should definitely go check them out at her gallery. However, if anyone wants to make any (or all) of these for our current Mythical Creatures challenge, I'll allow it!
News: Get Your Minecart Railway Rolling in This Saturday's Minecraft Workshop
The hardest part of starting a minecart railroad in Minecraft is getting it started. Anyone can lay some track in a circle, but what's the best way to stop and start your cart? In this Saturday's workshop, we'll be covering a variety of designs for minecart "train stations", so to speak, that effectively stop and start your minecarts.
Portland : Zeppelin City One
You knew it was coming - and it's finally here. After 2.5+ months, my solo build aka : "Zeppelin City One" is complete. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but this thing is large enough for a video. Special thanks to Pmag and Ping for helping throw switches and set day / night during the video "shoot". Also included an assortment of in-build photos plus the source image that the Airship started from.
PvP Arena: Elven Ruins
Here's a small-medium sized PvP arena that I made with my friend a few days back on my personal bukkit server.

News: Advanced Piston Stacking Explained in This Saturday's Minecraft Workshop
As anyone who has tried it knows, stacking pistons on top of each other in order to combine their effects is really, really complicated. Stacking two on top of each other is only slightly hard, but the difficulty rises exponentially with each added piston. Stacking three is pretty tough, and stacking four is downright ridiculous.
News: It Was Time for Lesnoydude to Win Our Weekly Staff Choice Award
A redstone clock is a pretty easy mechanism to make. A digital readout for that redstone clock is a little harder, and that's what Lesnoydude has made that won him the staff choice award.
News: Learn to Use Unique ABBA Switches in This Saturday's Minecraft Workshop
Not to be confused with the band, ABBA switches are so named because they reverse outputs such that they fire in A-B-B-A order. So, your redstone devices will essentially fire in one order (A and then B) when activated, and then deactivate in the reverse order (B and then A).
News: Redstone Printer 1.0
I was messing around in single player, (because the server is down) when a wild idea came to my mind. To build a printer, i have seen many examples on youtube, but all of them where to complex to my understanding of redstone. The end result was simple and it could save 4 images. The printer only prints in 2 colours in white (wool) and grey (cobblestone). As you have seen in the las image above, there are 25 buttons on the wall, they are parallel to the display and you can use them to edit the...
