Hey guy's, hope everything's going well! Here's a snippet of a few cool things and the latest news on Minecraft.
Minetroid Mod
This might just be the mod longtime Metroid fans have been looking for in Minecraft. Literally every aspect has been changed: textures, GUI, sound effects, music and even skins! The music and sound effects, courtesy of the Matmos mod, are pulled right from the original games, making the experience that much more enthralling.
XBOX 360 Skyrim Mash-Up
Yup, now you miners on the 360 have access to the Skyrim mash-up. Following the Mass Effect mash-up, this one features a lot of changes to the visual experience:
- 40 character skins
- Themed texture set
- Themed menus and user interface
- Craftable items
- More than 20 songs from the Skyrim soundtrack
- Pre-made world save, includes areas of Whiterun, Riverwood, and Bleak Falls Barrow
The add-on is priced at $3.99/£2.69/€3.79.
What is a mash-up you ask? Courtesy of Bethesda:
It's a paid downloadable package for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition that replaces the default textures of the game with a different set to match the theme or IP of reference. It also provides Skins for the main characters, re-flavored UI look and an awesome soundtrack from that IP.
Snapshot 13W47e
The next snapshot is already here! And it's an interesting one at that. You now have the ability to stream your game-play through Twitch.tv! This is currently only supported for Windows (XP and higher) and OSX Lion 10.7 and higher. How does it work?
Before you can start streaming, you will need to visit your Mojang account settings and link a Twitch account to your Mojang account. Then, while in the game, you may check the quality settings in Options -> Broadcast Options, or just go ahead and start broadcasting at any time by hitting F6. This key can be configured in the Controls options.
So have fun guys and let us know how the new features are working for you! See you later!
