This is the first thing I have ever built for a weekly challenge. I am a big sci-fi fan so I just had to jump in on this one.
Welcome to the Far Space Colonization Outpost.
Mission: Establish a front line in the field of deep space exploration and research. You will be stationed on an alien world in the far reaches of the galaxy known as Eumycota Prime. Your goal is to perform extensive research on the environment of the planet to determine if it is suitable for human habitation.
So far the mission has gone well. Eumycota Prime is a lush planet with an abundance of life. Many samples were collected, documented, and exterminated. It was quickly discovered that every form of life on the planet was a species of fungi.
There is more to see at my build, but I hope you like it for a first attempt.

Nice. I didn't realize geodesic domes were a big thing in science fiction. Are there any more besides these films? Not sure about novels.
I looked up old design for space bases when I thought up the build. Domes were a very common theme in most of them.

This is so incredibly clever! I saw you laying out the design for it, and I'm so happy with how it turned out! It's such a great concept, and it's so creative. My favorite bit is the "There has been a breach in greenhouse 2."

I really like the functionality, purpose, and story behind this build. There are some really cool builds this week but I like this one due to the sci fi element, the encroaching mushroom menace.
