Did you ever want to have a Free-Fall drop with water at the end inside of a Spiral Staircase? Well, you got it! With a Smart Design. =)
Step 1: Place Some Blocks with Stair's Hooked to Them as Shown in the Picture

Step 2: Continue as Shown from Step 1, You Can Make It Go as High as You Want. The Sky Is the Only Limit.

Step 3: Now at the Bottom, Place Some More Blocks with Fence Gates. Then Top It Off with Water.
Make sure to refer to the picture, as it is one of the only ways for this to work. TIP: You can fall from the top of Minecraft into just 3 Blocks of water without hurting yourself.

Heres Some More Pictures of the Design for You to Look At.

Heres a Look down where you can drop down. Pretty Nifty isn't it?
TIP: When you want to go down, hold shift so you sneak so you don't land on one of the stairs on the way down.

Hope You Enjoyed

Good tutorial, Kurt! This can make a staircase that's both good-looking and very functional, which is an important part of design!
In fact, I'll probably incorporate this into my next build. =)
Thanks Austin, I really appreciate the feedback!
I get tired of climbing ladders so i do a spiral staircase to the mob xp spawner. takes forever to move up and down to the x level 200. i am going to try doing this to see how it works.
