Welcome to Minecraft World! Check out our advanced tutorials and come play with us on our free server.

Minecraft World's Weekly Workshop: Architectural Design and Aesthetics

Did you recently create a mansion and need that last finishing touch? Have you considered making an elevator to give your mansion that added elegance, but don't know where to start? Well, this week's Saturday workshop will inspire you to great heights! We will be going over, step by step, how to make a working redstone elevator.

Elevators have been the most frequently built thing on our server over the past week, so I thought it would be great to make a workshop out of it! As you may or may not know, with the 1.1 update, a lot of elevators don't work in multiplayer anymore. Some of you found this out the hard way, so this tutorial is to prevent anyone else from making the same mistake.

We have a tutorial area set up with a warp, so when the tutorial starts we will let everyone know which warp to use. Throughout the tutorial, we will invite everyone to construct elevators of their own, or you can simply follow along step by step if you're new to using redstone.

I know some of you have created working elevators on the server already, so please feel free to help teach the rest of the server!

Minecraft Meetup: Join Us in Creating a Redstone Elevator Together This Saturday (2/18)

Join us this Saturday, February 18th at 5 PM (EST) / 2 PM (PST) where we will be recreating this redstone-activated elevator and sharing some of our tips and tricks to blending your elevators in with the surroundings. If you need to convert the time to another time zone, try this handy convertor.

We use TeamSpeak3 for our tutorials; you can download it free here.
